Hey guy's could you give me some feed back on your leveling kit?
How much lift did you get compared to what it was supost to lift ?
Did the ride get better or worse?
Who's it made by & where did you get it?
How much was it?
thanks man i had read that in one of the other threads we were talking in. just a couple of things i don't think i like about them is do they change your pinion angle & if my springs are sagging already i don't think i want to push one end down even farther.
The kit i used was the two inch blocks under the front coil springs. It still rides like it was stock. Many will argue me on this, but i had no alignment problems either. I think i paid around $70 shipped. This is what it looks like:
I started out with the Rancho add-a-leaf kit, but it did not give me the lift I wanted due to my already sagging springs. So now, I have the sanderson leveling kit along with the rancho and the total height is right above 3 inches. My ride was worsened a little bit, but only because I have the add-a-leaf kit on with the shackles.
Mines a Sandersons 2 inch shackle kit, was fortunate to get these from another FTE member, free. Thick and nicely done, got an inch and three quarter lift, leveled it out nicely. My ride is a little bouncey in the back when hitting some decent sized bumps. I guess this is because the front is so much stiffer now, I've gotten used to it. Here's mine
I like you have an '02 and I used a Rough Country kit that includes new front springs and shocks, I upgraded to gas shocks and got got a dual steering stabilizer and rear gas shocks for just shy of $500. It raised the front just shy of 3" and has not dropped in three years and half the year it has a plow on the front. I can't say I noticed any difference in the ride. By the way it changed the whole look of the truck for the better
thanks for the input guy's & sorry it is a 4x4 i have updated my signature block. really leaning towards new springs. now i guess i just have to shop around & see which companies offer what. i would really like it to go up 3 inches.
Leveling kit is probably next on my to do list as I want to upgrade to 285's before winter. It's tough trying to figure out which one is best. Is there anything I should stay away from?
Chris, you can run 285's on a stock height truck, just for the record. I have the Sanderson kit and run 315's now and they rub a little when turning left. It's just the tread on the inner fender lining, not the springs. Prior to the 315's I was running 305's with no leveling kit and no issues rubbing at all, and I put a very heavy 8 1/2 foot plow on it in the winter.

I used a Tuff Country add a leaf to my F350 and really like it. It brought the front up 1.75'', and made it ride a lot better. The stock springs were getting soft and the add leaf makes it handle so much better.
The kit was under a hundred bucks and I put it on in my driveway in about 4 hours. That was hand tools only, if I had had my air hooked up I could have done it in about half that time.
This is a picture from a couple of years ago, but gives an idea what looks like with the add a leaf installed. It has 315's in the picture but I am running 285's now
