need new motor
My brother just picked up an '02 F-350 7.3L 6-speed 4x4 with a blown motor. The truck is in pretty good shape other than the motor problem. He got it for a terrific price even with the blown motor. The truck has 168,000 miles on it. We pulled the motor out and tore it apart over the last two days and, like we already knew, it was trashed inside.
Anyone have a good suggestion on where to get a good reman? This motor has two bad cylinders along with one trashed head and turbo. I don't know if it will have much core value due to the head not being repairable. I guess the block and other head can still be used.
This truck will be a daily driver once we get it put back together so a new or reman I think is a better option.

Keep and eye out on the forums for an engine. Also, contact some sponsors, I think there are a few that sell long blocks for the $3000-ish range.
My last engine took out a cylinder. I was able to hit the local salvage yard and found a small block that was rebuildable.
