component identification

there is a black box on the drivers side very back corner in the engine bay it, if someone knows what this component is or has a fuel diagrahm thank you again.

That may be the fuel water separator..... does it have a pull ring. If you pull the ring fuel/water will dump out from the hose below. Ensure you either catch it or your on gravel.......asphalt will be damaged by diesel fuel. Also it may leak air back into the system if the drain does NOT seal correctly..... a 3/8 bolt up the hose and clamped will still allow you to use the W/separator if you remove the bolt each time.

The water seperator was right in the corner on the 86.

Two fuel lines, a drain hose on the bottom and an electrical connector on top with three wires in it.
