TPS testing...is this good?

Hi all,

Checking the TPS in my 1992, F150, 5.0, Auto, 2wd

Here are my results:
Voltage - 0.9V closed to 4.52V open, which mirrors what fordfuelinjection.com states as being within limits or good.

Resistance - 0.88k Ohms closed to 3.54k Ohms open...which mirrors the diagrams in Haynes but does not match the verbage in Haynes...

So, is it good or bad? Kinda confused by what Haynes says...any input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Rick

Listen to FordFuelInjection.com...

Do yourself a favor, and burn the Haynes manual. It will only get you into trouble. Go buy a Chilton, or... there's a website you can get good service manuals from, but I can't remember what it is. Somebody else knows it tho, I'm sure- it comes up in conversation a lot around here.

Yeah I find the Haynes rather vauge, but I wouldn't burn it there are some things that it has that the Chilton's don't. As far as your reading they seem pretty good. As long as everything is linear in between those readings your fine.
