Thought I would pop in and introduce myself since I have been trolling around for the last couple of weeks
Name is Lewis, I work and live in Idaho, on the ID/OR border. Married and have kids
I just recently got my mom's old 75 F-100 Custom after waiting for it for several years It's been a camper truck and wood hauler for the last 10 years or so, so it's pretty beat up and dirty.
I'm a scrub when it comes to mechanical things but I learn fast. I am also working on a 78 Mustang 2+2 but it's in the garage waiting for the tranny to be put back in. My wife drives a 93 Explorer XLT, so it's all Ford for us
Here are a couple of shots I took, already put a seat cover on and took took out alot of the dash componets... That's the only way I'm going to get this thing clean, piece at a time.
Cleaning it up, look at the top of the dash, the entire truck is like that!
Little bit of rust, a few dings
Tailgate is in my backyard, latch is broke and I got tired of having to use vice grips to open it. Alot of damage on pass side..... A tree attacked the truck one camping weekend.
It looks like a pretty solid truck...I don't see rust in the usual places outside. You're starting out a step ahead of where a lot of guys on here are/were, including me.
Lots of knowledgeable folks on here...you came to the right place!
welcome to the site, and nice truck, it has lots of potential
also i see a tree did attack the truck! on the passenger side, also looks like the front drivers side hit a tree or pole at least once,
all minor things, also the dash pad looks too be in fine shape, but keep us posted on all your work on the truck, i know many of us are interested, and its always nice to see one more truck saved,
Welcome to FTE. Glad to have ya aboard.
I'll be happy to help you in any way I can.
Nice old truck. Like the Manual Transmission!
That thing has a little body work to be done, but not much rust,so your way ahead.
I thought 302 Windsors where bigger than that (The 302 is the smallest V-8 You could get in these trucks)
I see he/she has Oregon Plates...You Must literally live on the border
The truck has newer Mirrors on it...
What's that little thing on the roof? Was there something mounted on the roof at one time?
Welcome to the site. Con grats on the new truck. Glad to have another one from the west. If you take the blue cover off your bulb and the two in the instrument panel Your dash will light up much better. Maybe you need a smaller air cleaner so your engine looks bigger.

Yea, I live about 4 miles from the Snake River where the border is
Mirrors are newer, I have few holes to plug where the orginal mirrors were.
The little thing on the roof was a CB antenna that my late step father mounted years ago.
