Brakes

Does the 6.0 Super Duty power brakes run off vacuum pump or power steering, It's been a while since I had that model and can't remember.

Hydroboost unit. Runs from hydraulic pressure pump, the same one used for power steering assist.

Early Ford diesels had a vacuum system, but all SuperDutys have a hydroboost instead.

Thanks thats what I thought, My sons truck had "sluggish" brakes like he lost power brakes, He recently had the dealer changed the power steering/hydraulic pump cause it was making noise. I will let him know. It is the same system my Motorhome has.
