5 speed trans. ID

does anyone know the specific name of the 4 speed with overdrive manual transmission? its a 1993 f150 with the 4.9. i plan on swappin a 351W with gt40 heads and a comp cam soon and need the bell housing, my donor truck had an auto trans.

All the 5 speeds put in these trucks were on piece bell/trans units. There was the M5ODR2 and the ZF42 5 speed. The ZF is the one you want for a 351w.

Well the 4.9/5.0/5.8 all use the same bellhousing bolt pattern so the trans you have will bolt right up with the appropriate flywheel.

well i bought an entire parts truck but i havent picked it up yet. its an automatic trans. so your sayin all i gotta do to put the 351 in is swap motor mounts the radiator wiring harness and computer?
