5.0 tpc removal

Just bought a new tpc for my 95 F-150, 5.0 engine. With a mirror
I can see just 2 allen screws holding it, I'll be dammed if I can wiggle
anything in there to get them out. Has anyone else tried this. Is there
a special tool or do I have to take the throttle body (I guess thats what
its called) off so I can get to it??

thanks in advance for your help

Just take the 4 bolts out and flip the throttle body upside down. You shouldn't have to disconnect the coolant lines either. Just be careful not to strip the screws when removing the TPS.

I think it's prettywell impossible to get anything in there. Start of by removing the TB, I recommend letting them soak in some penetrating lube for a bit as they like to break. Once you get that off your throttle should come off by pulling straight up. You may need to unhook the coolant line and the EVAP system I think it's called, but then the lines may be long enough. From there you just need to unscrew the TPS, careful not to strip it, it's in there good.

So if you're having a problem start by pulling the codes, blindly guessing at what is wrong is a great way to waste a few hundred dollars.

I pulled off the TB and had to unhook only 1 hose. Removed the phillips screws
carfully (the came out hard, almost to the point of stripping them). Installed the new one
(twice). Did an ohms check and nothing changed, didnt have the little nubs right the
first time. But got it right the second time. Removed old TB gasket and put on new
screwed it down (after removing a ton of built up carbon in the chamber). Drove
for 3 days now with no problem....Thanks a million for your help!!!!!!!!!!
