The solid axle F250 article utilizes leaf springs which will make your 1/2 ton swap a little more difficult.
In the off road forum you may search for SAS or "solid axle swap" and you will find what you need.
It will discuss the use of either custom or stock radius arms from the 78/9 f150 or Bronco and the same D44 solid axle.
It is common and has been covered a bunch. The same is true for use of a D60 front axle in a 1/2 ton vehicle using coil springs.
