The paint on my Black '98 Explorer started cracking and "checking" when the vehicle was about 3 years old. Ford repainted the hood, which is where this was first noticable, but now will do nothing fo fix the paint on the rest of the truck.
I realize that the heat here in Arizona could have something to do with it, but the vehicle has been garaged and otherwise treated just like my black '98 VW Jetta, and the Jetta has had no paint problems.
Has anyone out there had similar problem, or have advise as to who to contact at Ford for some relief?
