03 Rear Drivetrain Clank

03 Rear Drivetrain Clank
03 F150 FX4 Supercab, just ticked over 112k miles.
When starting from a stop, or coming to a stop and the truck settles down, there is a fairly loud clank that comes from underneath the rear of the truck. Happens in 2wd 4wd, all the time. Been getting progressively worse over the last 5k miles or so.
Checked all the u joints in the rear driveshaft and all appears well, it looks like there is a slow leak in the top of the t-case where the Slip Yoke cone bolts on. With tension is off the rear axle the slip yoke has about 1/8th of an inch play up or down, left and right. Anyone else have a similar problem before that was related to the slip yoke? All the mounts are solid and u joints tight.
Been looking at t-case rebuild kits online, I'm fairly sure this is the problem but figured I'd ask before doing anything drastic.
