When had motor cleaned on the 51 F1 V-8 Flathead, the machine shop lost the rod from the block that pushes the fuel pump. Sense I am new to this forum, I would like some suggestions on where to find parts for the truck and also, what would this rod be called in looking for a replacement. I am not sure but think this is a 239 engine. Thanks for suggestions. Harley
your right, it's just called the fuel pump pushrod, I dont think I have seen any listed in lmc truck, dennis carpenter etc? maybe try Joblot NY or Vanpelts sales?
Im sure there others too but can't think of off the top of my head.
the very first flathead I took apart had 1 and a half push rods in it! old one must have broke in half and when they replaced it somehow fell into the engine?? took me a bit to figure out what that was and where it had come from
