Auto Enginuity questions

hey guys i have a few questions about this program.

from what i have read the program by its self will scan everything but i want to know how well. like will it pull codes and stuff on all cars or what.

and also what is the difference with the ford package vs the domestic witch comes with ford, Chevy, and dodge. Because my brother has a dodge and my uncle has a Chevy. but i want to make sure that if i get the domestic pack that it will be able to do all the same stuff to my ford that the ford pack will. if that makes sense.

ultimately i want it to totally take care of my ford because i am buying it for me and my truck. but if i can get the same type of thing and also be able to do "deep" scans of the other two trucks that would be good also.

any tips on what to get would help a bunch. thanks guys

Jeron

The tool will do what you need to do. The trick is knowing how to do it.

There should be a book/owners manual that came with it, good start there.

But to be honest the best way is to just play around with it. I dont think theres anything you can hurt with it.

The program will pull codes on just about anything, GAS. I pulled codes from my Focus,Ranger, and my jeep and my moms Pontiac so far. Havn't tried the imports like the toyota i had.

Not sure on the Dodge/Chevy diesels. But you will need the ford inhanced package to read our ford powerstrokes. It is a great tool to have i will tell you that. It has already paid for itself 2 times. I am still learning it and a very Newbie when it comes to its capabilities. Only had it for 6 months so I have sit in the truck for many hours scrolling through all the screens trying to understand.. But i am SLOWLY getting it and i will probably never be a master of it in my life time. It has so many things you can see..

thats cool i haven't bought it yet and what i am trying to figure out is what package to buy with it. i know i need the ford package to do my truck, but what i want to know is if i get the domestic package can i still do all the same ford stuff i could with the ford package, plus do it to dodge and Chevy.

basically i want to know the differences between the ford package and the domestic one.

Thanks guys

So the Domestic package gives you enhanced parameters for the domestic brands. However, it will not give you enhanced parameters for the 7.3. In order to get that you also need the "Total Ford Bundle". You can purchase it with both of those options. I am going to pick up an AE with the Total Ford Bundle plus the Mazda package. Just waiting for the wallet to recover from RRE.

Not only that, Clay put it on my truck and corrected my speedometer. With the slightly larger tires it was off 2-3 mph, now it's dead nuts on.

Clay can hook you up when he gets back. I just got the Ford bundle this weekend and have yet to load it in anything.

I have the Ford enhanced package with the GM and Dodge included.
However, the GM part does not have the enhanced package, so I can do only limited scans, but still can pull the codes and monitor a limited certain amount of sensors.
I have not used the Dodge, so I can't speak to that part.
