dp 140 aggresive

How much smoke will I see with this tune, thats the only reason I got it. Also driving in this tune I have heard its hard to drive around town because of the touchy throttle, Anything else to watch for, High egt's codes or anything else. Thanks

When i run 140a i can cover a 2 lane road but not sure what to compare it to. if your on the throttle just watch your egts because they will get up there really quickly. and after using that tune for a bit you really get used to it, i have mistaken it for my econ tune a couple times.

Its not made to be driven around in... The 140 tunes are for short periods of time ONLY.

The throttle Is extremely touchy. You do need to watch out for high egts. I can also cover a 2 lane highway pretty easily especially if I leave it in 6th gear about 20 mph

Would this tune be used for just fun, or can it be used for drag racing. I'm looking for a tune also for sled pulling. If you used water/meth injection do you think the egt would stay at a reasonable level.
I plan on getting the 60tow and 80econ soon and was looking for another one for fun. I was thinking about like a 100 tow or whatever is close to the equivalent.
What kind of boost do you guys see on your tunes. Can the mapsimizer cable be used instead of the boost anniahlator dp reccomends. ( I hope I got those names right. It's hard to do this on the iPhone at work lol )

Jody can build you a custom tune for sled pulls. Or any other kind of anything you want to do...

Someone brought up a topic on how DP-tuner tunes are causing motors to blow up....

The consensus on that topic is that any power mods can make a motor blow it is just a matter of how you use them... Jody's tunes are as safe for our motors as possible but I don't want to hear any crying from any one because they misused their programs...

This may have been covered before but whats the difference between 140 extreme and 140 agressive? I have 140 extreme, and I drove around in that for a couple months with no problems. 140X will roll a pretty good amount of smoke but I could stand to roll more. Any ways to roll more?

The 140 agressive is designed to have power gains in the lower rpm range. This is where it will smoke the most. Up top it will bascilaly fall on it face because of how Jody sets up the tune. Every truck is different with "how much" smoke will be created.

Things to check...

What are the EGT's. What is the boost?

Low boost, but higher EGTs with not much smoke in that tune may indicate a boost leak or exhaust leak somewhere. Check around the up pipes for leaks, and turbo wheel for too much play.

FYI- the 140 aggressive we consider a play tune.

Let us know what you find.

I hardly ever use my 140 because I can cover 2 lanes of traffic in a black cloud in 80e... that's with early 99 stock fuel and HPOP!

NO! I only do it when "necessary"
I found out by mistake that when the motor isn't warmed up and you accidentally pull out in front of someone and mat the go pedal that you leave a very impressive cloud of doom behind you
