Holy Crap, if I found one of those I would buy it in a heart beat just for the conversation piece. That is the coolest little thing ever! Of course, I have always been a Volkswagen fan, too.

Back when the idea of the 5'er was just getting started, the notion of towing them with a car using a hitch in the middle of the roof was all that magazines like Popular Mechanics were talking about.

Actually the notion of having the hitch mounted on the roof of a car is the reason why the 5'ers have a much higher hitch position compared to goosenecks which were always meant to be towed from the bed of a truck.
