Well, my wife and I had the pleasure of meeting Steve and his lovely wife yesterday. They stopped over and stayed in our town last night on their way home from Carlisle. We had dinner with them last night and had a great visit with them. They are truly great folks and we feel privileged to have met them.
I'm a bit scared of meeting people from online, I've been a part of a lot of forums even local ones but I never would go out to the meets or anything. Just not my thing for some reason.

Myself, Gail, John, John David and Jaime, left to right.
We really enjoyed the all to brief time that we were able to spend with you folks.....hopefully everything will align properly and we can see you again up in Carlisle next year.

Ditto that my good friend and we certainly hope to see you all again soon.

No argument here either...If I hadn't met Jamie, I'd still be living under my bridge....

I was a bit apprehensive myself at first...but you know what, I can honestly say that the friends I've made from meeting online (on this site and one other I frequent) and then finally in person are some of the best friends I have. You get a sense of what a person is really all about after you've shared your thoughts and feelings through countless posts, and I've found it to be well worth the effort to get out and meet them in person. Give it a shot...
I'd agree with that too, TigerDan. I've gone skiing with plenty of folks from an internet site called EpicSki, and not a loony in the bin (yet). My wife gets real apprehensive when I do it, but hey, if I don't like them, I can always ditch them. I guess sites like that and FTE don't attract serial killers.
As far as marryin' good, I love the comment "I'd still be living under a bridge". Me too! Like Tim Wilson said in his song 31 things you need to know about life "...If you get married, be the ugly one".
