Hey guys, I was wondering if you think its ok to put the insulation foam that goes around your house pipes on the A/c lines. I was thinking maybe it will cool down the system a lot and keep the lines colder. Any thoughts give me a shout. Thanks
I wouldn't insulate the discharge (hot) lines.
If your gonna insulate I would just do the sutcion (cold) lines.
Be careful though, insulation will trap the condensation/water and can cause parts to rust and adventually leak. On my moms explorer they wrapped the accumulator with insulation and it rotted out in a few years. When I replaced it I didnt wrap it
