I am looking at buying a '92 F350 that has a blown (he said) 7.3 non turbo in it. Will all the 7.3 n/a engines swap over to this truck if I could find a used one? He was told the injector pump went bad and blew the rings out. I don't understand that concept but whatever. Thanks for the help.
I don't know for sure what is wrong with it. I just looked at it today. I have had no chance to fool with it at all. He claims it blew out a lot of oil when going down the road when it broke down.
i say get the truck and look at the motor these are cheap at wreaking year or get a rust bucked with a good motor
What are these motors worth? I know where I can get one rebuilt with 21k miles on the rebuild by a good shop here locally. It is a 91 model extended cab 2wd auto truck that has peeling paint for $1500. Seems pretty good but just not sure.
