This is my first post here, but not the first V10. I recently got rid of my 6.0 diesel piece of **** and fell in to a smokin deal on a very clean 1999 F350. One problem...the door locks (all four) do not work. I can hear them click, but no worky. The original owner was a certified ford mechanic and the truck came with all the service records. He now lives out of Phoenix, but he says he removed the Body Control Module (BCM) behind the stereo after it was broken in to. I pulled the stereo and found a pack of what looks like four relays with one missing at the end??? Does this sound right? I know the actuators go bad, but all four our not working. Please help. Thanks, Jason
PS- This is a great informative forum. Thanks in advance!

If you hear them click it sounds like everything up to the actuators is good and all the actuators are bad. It's possiable and is actually pretty common. You can either replace them all or fix them for nearly free.

I am super familiar with the actuator problems, however, this guy swears he pulled the Body Control Module out?? I would just like to find out where this is before I go pulling panels off. Can anyone link me to an electrical diagram showing the BCM. I cant seem to find any info on this.
If your truck has keyless entry, Chilton's Manual says you have a "Generic Electronic Module". It doesn't say where it is but it has a pink/lt green, pink/yellow, pink/lt blue or violet/lt blue and lt green/yellow wires (4) coming out of it. The relays that you're looking at could be the park lamp, driver unlock and 2 all unlock relays.
If your truck doesn't have keyless entry, those 4 relays and the GEM, don't show up.
That's all that the Chilton book will show me.

Thank you. I think this is what I was looking for. Is the relay farthest to the pass side one of the all unlock relays. If so does it say what size relay this is?? I am missing one in a row of four. This has to be it. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INPUT
yes, it appears to be the two closest to the pass. side. It doesn't say what size but they run off of a 20 amp fuse (#26 I think). Sorry, I picked this up today to help with my 08 4wd switch w/ no luck. I wish I had a Haynes manual but this is all they had.
