sluggish acceleration

sluggish acceleration
95 5.0 auto 4x4
when accelerting normally it feels like it has no power, almost like I'm pulling a load way too heavy for truck. If you give it the gas it will go fine, much much worse when using air conditioner during acceleration. Also on a side note, (not sure if same problem or not) out of every 10 times I start it, it idles very rough(like 5 out of 8 firing) then dies, if I shut it off or it dies and I start it back it starts like there is nothing wrong. Anybody else dealt with these before?

last fall replaced plugs, haven't replaced wires, truck not driven daily. I have owned it about 2 years, last summer had a problem with valve chatter, traced it down to dirty air flow sensor. Thats when I replace plugs also
