E4od

I have a 91 f-150 E4OD it was rebuilt about 90,000 ago. At times it shifts real hard, it shifted hard before but that was normal this is more like a whip lash jolt it does it no mater if im going easy on the throtle or i have it to the floor and alot of the time i have to have it to the floor to get it going cause if i don't it'll stumble but i think that has to do with something else, also at times after i let off the the gas and the rpms go down and i press the gas again it acts like its in netural and revs high then clunks into gear. i have no idea what's doing this so i was hopeing someone here would be able to help.

Thanks
Kyle

Not an expert but my guess would be a bad Throttle Position Sensor. If you were to pull the codes it may help. If you don`t have a code reader go to fordfuelinjection.com for info on pulling them using the check engine light.

Ok so today i found out what the major problem was i was missing 3 quarts of fluid. last time i checked it must of been on an angle that i didn't see but now full with a pint of stop leak in there with it i should be good i took it out and drove it around and it's ooooo so much better.

Thanks
Kyle
