Cigar Lighter
Can someone tell me how to remove the cigar lighter from the ashtray? The manual says that it unscrews, but it looks like it is one entire element, leading me to believe that you have to get an entire ashtray. I'm sure it is something simple that I am missing. Thanks as usual for any input.

If it's like most i have ever seen, the back side unscrews from the Inside part.
You should be able to grab the outer can and twist while holding the inside part so it won't slip.
Just make sure it's unplugged first!!!

IIRC you just have to push on the tab in the upper area of the ashtray and it should just slide out. Then you unplug the wires and unscrew the assembly. Make sure not to drop the wires back in... i somehow managed to loose mine... and I can't find them...

Thanks everyone. I figured it out...there is a nut on the back of the cigar lighter, dead center, that holds the retainer in. Unscrew that and the hold assembly comes out. Thanks for the replies.
