96 Drivers Side Front Power Window Dead
Windows all working fine, no noise etc... IE just perfect, rolled it down to drive home, won't budge. Locks and all 3 other windows work just fine.
I have the panel off and it all apart for the switches, have no clue though how to test if the switch is bad or find the motor or test it?
Appx 325K miles.
Thanks, Jeff
You will need to undo the 10mm bolt to open the connector and then pull the rubber back to expose the wires.
When you locate the broken wire, add 2" of wire (relieves tension), solder and heat shrink..

If you have a test light (you can buy one at the parts store if you don't) test the wire going to the switch for power and then to the motor itself to see if the motor's getting power to it.
If the motors getting power to it and it dosent budge then the motors probably cooked.
Also if there's power to the switch then the wire in the wire loom between the door and body of the truck should be fine.
