Valve Cover 352 Engine
Which is a better valve cover as not to leak, aluminum or steel, on a 352 engine?
Thanks

There reason FE valve covers leak is ppl overtighten them. That causes the area around the bolt holes to flare outwards.
Remove the valve covers, lay them on a flat surface, you will see the covers resting on 5 little pedestals.
With a body hammer and wood, you can repair flares in the covers, but it's time consuming.
Both new steel or aluminum valve covers will not leak...that is...until they are over tightened.

Should I use anything on the valve cover gasket?, and is there a better gasket than cork?

I've always been told cork on FE motors work better than rubber; but I like / use rubber type and as mention the leaks are cause by us tighten them to tight.
