And the winner is....

I'm sorry for the crappy pictures. I just took them in the hotel parking lot. I'm in Cincinnati, Ohio, on my way back to Tennessee from up around Akron, Ohio where I picked it up today.
It's an '09 F350 Supercab 2WD V10 automatic with 16K miles. I guess it's an XLT (??? don't actually see "XLT" anywhere that I remeber, on it or the paperwork) with leather, power/heated seats, it's got the mirrors that expand and fold in electronically. Navigation with the back up camera, the stereo has a subwoofer under the rear seat, sounds awesome. Tow package with the built in brake controller thing. I think it has everything you can get but a sunroof, and 4WD of course, which I didn't want.
It's a lot more money than I wanted to spend, but it was simply too good a deal to pass up. I pretty much got a brand new truck for half the price.
First impressions...
1. The ride is a little bumpy, but it's a heavy duty truck, I expected it. When the road is smooth, this thing is as quiet as a Cadillac
2. It's got some power
3. It eats gas, something else I fully expected.
4. It's badass

I have a question though, I don't have the window sticker and haven't looked in the manual yet, but I looked on-line and the Ford website says I should have a 30.5 gallon fuel tank. I filled up earlier, and it was on empty, and it only took 22 gallons to fill it up. Am I missing something?
Later
Ken
BTW, this is the truck it replaced...

As far as the tank I know my truck is 29 gallon but I never get more then 25. The bladder, foam and air take up the rest. Although 22 out of 30 seems odd. It could be the pump meter was off or you had excessive foaming. Do another fill up at a gas station you're familiar with and see what you get.
That is a fine looking truck. The power of 10 can be addicting to drive.
As was said above, try another station you're familiar with next time you gas up and see if there's a difference. Also, while your fuel guage may show on empty or close to it, it may not necessarily be that low. Reset your trip computer's average MPG setting. This will also cause the computer to recalculate the "miles to empty" setting which will give you a better idea of how much farther you have to go until empty. While it's not 100% accurate, it is pretty close.
Best of luck with the new ride!

Follow the instructions and you should be able to pull your original window sticker and print it off.

That is definitely a Lariat trim level truck. Unless someone went upgrade crazy, the woodgrain trim in the dash is a dead giveaway. Also, those rims are the "standard" Lariat rims. (Is it a bad thing that I knew that?!?!)
As for the fuel thing, that is pretty common. I can run my (crew cab, short box = 30 gal. tank) down to low fuel light--which should be around 50 miles to empty or about 4 gallons--and I have never had to put in more than about 23 gallons. That means that there has to be a couple of gallons still lurking around in there....as scraprat stated though "not willing to find out".

Other than that your Ranger was just fine. I just don't get it...

What a nice truck and an unusual combination! I honestly wouldn't be surprised if that was the only truck like that Ford ever made.

Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
All I saw was F350 and 6.8 Triton. Anyway, made it home, took a few more pics of it I'll post later if you want. I let her drive it the rest of the way home and I drove her 4-runner, so I didn't drive it today, yet.
I forgot to check actual fuel mileage. The computer said Iwas getting 12.3-12.5mpg. It's not important to me what the mpg is, what does matter is miles per tank. I got to figure out how to get the other 5-8 gallons of fuel out of it before filling up.
I gave $23,000 for it, everything said it was worth around $35,000. I think it was a good deal.
It was in Minerva, Ohio at Loudon Motors Ford. Just southeast of Akron.

I ran a carfax on it and it was clean but I didn't do the OASIS thing.
I got a $41K truck for $23K, I'm pretty happy

Thank you everyone for the compliments, so far I'm very happy with it.

I didn't know it was rare or anything like that. I wanted a 2wd V10 supercab regular bed. I wanted PW, PL, cruise, cd player and tow package. Everyone that I found remotely similar to this was too old, too many miles, or too much money for the year and number of miles.
I looked at this one on-line for two weeks before I called them,. I thought the price was a typo. I can't believe NO ONE ELSE grabbed this thing

I just noticed that it's an F350. Talk about rare in a short bed supercab.
Like Monsta said. I bet it's the only one like that.
The reason the price was low was because its a 2wd. 2wds seem to lose the value even faster than a 4x4. Nothing wrong with a 2wd truck though, most people really have no use for a 4wd truck.
