Wrist pin oiling

I'm having a brain fart.....The oiling hole in the connecting rod for the wrist pin should face up right???

Like towards the heads and intake when installed???

I would focus more on the correct rod radius to the crank journal fillets radius. Larger side of the rod chaumfer radius goes towards the crank journal cheek radius. This will give you the correct orentation for the small end oil holes. Very important this is correct.

I agree with FRR428, however a quick foolproof way is to check the rod large end oil hole. It always faces the opposite cylinder (towards the center of the block).

Assuming of course, your rods are correctly stamped with the cyl numbers.

So far I have the crank in, 6 pistons installed, freeze plugs, cam bearings, and the block painted up. Between work and spending time with the woman before she leaves for college I haven't gotten very far on my build.
