I have agreed to buy this 1958 F600 and it is located 1400 miles away. I plan to tow it home with my brother's 2001 F250 Diesel and I want to take a couple of spare wheels and tires along in case of tire problems. Are these wheels the 6 on 8.75 bolt pattern? Can anyone tell if these are widowmaker wheels? Thanks.

Yes, they are 6 x 8.75". From the pic it's not possible to say 100%, but they look tubeless. And it would stand to reason that they are tubeless because Ford switched to them in 1956. All that said, wheels get damaged and changed over the life of a truck so you'll want to look them over to be sure. If the tires are all 22.5" you are in good shape. If some are 20" you need to see what style wheel the tire is mounted to. It's not unusual to find old trucks with some 22.5" and some 20" wheel/tire combos mounted together. The outside tire diameter of both sizes are generally the same. It's the wheel profiles that are different. Here's a diagram of the two that will help you know what you're looking at when you go pick it up.

Nice looking truck BTW. Looks to be very rust free. Stu

You said tow? Like tow bar? If this is the case, I'd remove the outside tires on the rear and tow with only one on each side. It looks like it doesnt have a bed so you would be fine and this way you'd have 2 spare tires!OR I have wheels listed in the classified section here, take a look

Yes, a tow bar. That was my plan to remove the 2 outside rear wheels.
The seller sent a photo and it has 8.25x20 tires on it now so I guess there's a 50/50 chance as to whether it has split rims or widow makers.
