The C6 as I know it does not have an interchangeable bell housing. It is a one piece case. It has a different bolt pattern case at the bell for different applications. I do not remember for sure if it has the 302/351W pattern or not stock.
Yes, the C-6 comes in a small block bolt pattern, as I have one sitting in a 82 Club Wagon with a 351W. You just have to find one with a small block case. If you want a 2wd C-6, check in vans, as they came with 300's and small blocks more.

There are AT LEASE 3 Versions of the C-6. There is a Big Block 360-390-429-460 version.
There is the small block 302/351 Version.
There is also what some call the tall case-industrial version for 352-361-391-and I believe 428 version. These last ones are virtually extinct.
The C-6 is an awesome easily rebuildable transmission which can be done at home with few special tools however the bellhousings are not removeable/interchangeable.
