Trading Trucks

Need an opinion guys, I'm looking at trading my 2001 150 crewcab 4x4 and my 94 Wrangler for an F250. The 2001 has 217k miles some body dents and a hole in the side of the pass. bed about 6 inchs round(slide into a tree) numerous scratchs and small dents from being used as a truck. At 214k miles I replaced the engine with a parts yard engine with 60000 miles it has K&N cold air, 5 star tuning tuner and other numerous odd and end upgrades. Tires are Maxxis Mudders with about 3000 miles. Its been run hard and worked hard but I would head out to California in it tomorrow with no worries. The Jeep is faded across the hood but no rust anywhere. It has 4 inch lift 33 tires and working air, with factory hardtop. It has appx. 98k miles on it its a good looking jeep and other than the sncronizers (misspell) having some wear and having to shift it easy the 6 cylinder runs like a champ.
Now the truck I'm looking at is a 95 crewcab 250 with 6 inchs lift and 35s with decent tires. Its a 7.3 powerstroke with auto and just turned over 200k. The truck looks great, runs great but the miles worry me. The interior is in excellent condition. I haven't driven it yet but am supposed to take my truck and the jeep over monday and let the guy look at them and see what we can come up with. The owner is wanting 10000 for the truck, I think I could probably could get 6 for my truck and 5 or 6 for the jeep if I were willing to advertise and wait for the right buyer. The only reason I am considering the trade is because I need a heavier truck....the 150 just isn't cutting it anymore. Just wanted some other opinions before I took the time to load all this up and go talk trade. Any opinions, sarcastic or not are what I'm looking for. Thanks Whit

I'd be curious to know if the transmission in that truck had been rebuilt. I rarely see an E4OD with more than 150k miles that hasn't been rebuilt/replaced at least once. If the transmission is original, I wouldn't expect it to last much longer. You should go check in the 94.5-97 powerstroke forum and ask them what to expect with a motor having that many miles. If it were an IDI diesel I could give you some more answers.

Just "crew"zing along...

Your targeted crew cab, if it is a 95 model, would be F350. I believe F250 crew cabs started with the 96 model year; many of which would have late 1995 build dates.

Your 01 is worth about 2k and your wrangler is worth the same. And as stated above, a F250 crew cab was only available in 96-97. Or did you mean supercab
