fuel pump in tank

so my brother has a 86 bronco ll and its my project car... he got it out of a friends yard after ten years, and it actually ran, until the other day. im 99% sure the fuel pump in the tank is out. i know how to change it the pita way by dropping the tank, but i read some where that it can be done without that. that a hole can be cut out somewhere and then patched up. if anyone can shed some light on this, i would greatly appreciate it. thank you for your time.

Do some searches on this forum, this was asked a year or three ago, and it was explained and illustrations were posted. I remember reading it but do not have the time to search it. It showed the location to cut the hole.

It is a LOT quicker and simpler to drop the tank than to cut a hole in the truck.....just my .02 ,have done them in both my BIG and little Bronco's.

If you use

+fuel +pump +floor in the search box and search in the B2 forum you will pull up three pages of stuff
