I have a 99 F-250 Super Duty V10 4x4. I am having a hard time finding a replacment roter. I got the part from autozone that should fit my truck but it rubs against the caliber braket. My truck's manufacturing date is 01/98. One of the guys at autozone mentioned ford sometimes puts diffrent parts then what should be there. I am wondering if this is the case because my truck is a very early run of the super duty. Anyone have any thoughts?
your first mistake was buying something from autozone. 2nd mistake was thinking it could be anything other than the fact you got a shoddy part from autozone. 3rd mistake you havent gone and asked for a refund and making them pay the repair bill. which you can do if its their products fault. slightly hard and they may deny it but hey its autozone they suck
The early 1999's DO have different brakes. Make sure they are getting the correct part. If all else fails take the old rotor in with you an double check it before leaving the store.
I did get a refund on the roters. I am going to take the old roters with me and try checker. The only good thing about this whole problem is that the truck is really easy to work on.
Well I took the roter to Checker and was able to get the right one. It is all installed and working. I am not sure what Autozone's problem was but the part they gave me was wrong twice. Also, I know I gave them them the right year and build date. Anywho thanks again all.
