Used to be that you could get outside air by opening a vent somewhere. Is there a way to do that with the 2009 F250 system without running the A/C?
I think NOT! Each time I try any vent and turn the fan on, the A/C come on!
There should be 2 buttons on the drivers armrest that when activated will open two fairly large transparent panels located on each side of the truck.
With a quick downward thrusting motion on the buttons it will create an opening wide enough to allow a more than adequate flow of air.
I know I'm going to be branded a tool for this response,... but I couldn't resist.

Reason: cuz
The only setting that doesn't start the compressor on my '03 is the "face" or "top vent" or whatever the hell the top outlets are called setting. Do you have an A/C button? If so, hit that and it will toggle the A/C on and off. That's how my '08 Taurus X works. Worst case is read your owner's manual.
