My truck threw a code 72 and 73 today. Does this mean that the MAP sensor and throttle position sensor is bad or going bad? Truck seems to be running fine.
If you got the codes during the Key on engine running test, it would seem to mean that you didnt do something at the right time. Are you sure you read the codes correctly?

The CEL came on while I was sitting in the parking lot with the engine idling. When I got home, I did a KOEO test. Checked it twice to verify. Question: What are some symptoms of a bad MAP sensor and a bad TPS?
Code 73 coincides with a KOER test, not a code for a KOEO test.
The fuel pedal was not pushed to the floor at the proper time during the test.
Code 73 is for both types KOER and KOEO tests, but again the pedal was not pushed to the floor during testing during either or both tests.
Run the three tests again exactly as directed and then read the codes if any, little more to it then just triggering the self test and counting the flashes. If that is in fact all you did, if you did do it properly and got those codes then let us know.
Just as danr1 stated you should do the tests on the truck. As for why they showed up while the engine was idling in the parking lot, should be no reason for it. Personally I would check the map sensor to make sure that the vacuum line running to it is in good condition and that the sensor itself appears to be in good shape. Refer to Fordfuelinjection.com on the sensors on this link: http://www.fordfuelinjection.com/?p=27
It basically tells the computer what the load on the engine is based on vacuum. It also helps in setting the correct ignition timing, and fuel ratios especially in altitude changes.

The only test I did was the KOEO test. I didn't do a running test. Those two codes showed up during the KOEO test. I don't know if it was fluke or what, but I'm going to clear the codes and run it for a while and see if they show up again. I'll also check the MAP sensor vacuum line.
