What is this part...

Hi all,

Looking for the correct name of the part (solenoid/switch) between the vacuum port on the intake/TB and charcoal canister. It has a vacuum line connected to it on both sides and a 2 wire electrical connector on top.

Also, would a failure of this cause a rough idle/miss?

Purge Solenoid.
Maybe but pull the hose off going to the throttle body and plug it.
If no change the Purge Solenoid is more than likely good.

Failure of the purge selinoid would lead to a high idle condition. Rough running and a miss condition is either ignition, fuel, or compression related.
