Hello.
I took the adivce and bought the 2000 F-250 4x4 5.4. High miles, 197K but in pretty decent shape. Ok I think for $3000. Anyway, want to boost the output as it seems like it could use it.
The 5 star looks cool but $400 or so is around 12% of what I paid for the truck. So what about JET Perfromance Modules or the Mindblower Performance Module. Do not know much about any of these things as I have always owned diesels or older hot rods with no computers.
I was thinking about adding the throttle body spacer too. I am looking for a nice little combo of fuel economy and horsepower bump. Not trying to tow the world but this thing needs a little more umph.

JET is the only one of those I have even heard of and they weren't great a few years ago. I stick with the tried and true Superchips. You are going to have to pay at least $300 for a tuner unless you can find a used one and want to take the chance that the PO unlocked it.

Diablosport Predator is the most versatile programmer out there. I had one when I had my 01 and it was great, more power, better trans shifting and better mileage to boot!!
www.diablosport.com. TB spacers don't do anything for an EFI engine.
I too have heard nothing good about JET stuff. Many cases of fried computers.
