Transmission started shuddering—codes 755 & 1728 replaced Solenoid pack and torque converter. Worked fine for 3 weeks then speedometer started behaving erratically swinging from 0 to 60 or whatever speed I was doing.
Highway at 65 speedometer would drop to 30 or 40 or 10 or 0 whatever. Then transmission would go to neutral and the RPMS would spike to 4000-4500 had to back-off the accelerator—maybe it will go back into gear or sometimes I have to pull over and stop—then trans works fine for 1-2 miles. Works fine under load of acceleration or going up a hill but goes to neutral when I back off the accelerator and start going down hill. I have replaced both speed sensors—one at rear end and other behind and at top of trans. First start-up in morning everything is ok—after warm-up 3-4 miles the trans begins to mis-behave as described.
This is the exact thing my 98 E.B. Started doing last night! I just bought it a few weeks ago so mine is back at the dealer right now. Hope they can figure it out. Of coarse it drove fine on the way to the dealer!!!!! Anyone else everrun into this before?
