Here's the patch i was talking about in my last post.

The black plastic vacuum line coming from the actuator is a bit i had left over from another project. Then i connected the old and new with some 1/8" ID rubber hose i had laying around. You can get actual connectors to clean it up a bit though.

My patch is farther down, where it passes under the heater hoses.

Pretty much. Makes it easier to work on things when they're clean.

With ya pal - had that issue last summer after I beat the truck up pretty good on 10 miles of granny gear rocky road. Same deal and these other folks. Slit the conduit back, threw away the brittle white line and replaced with 1/8" Windshield Washer hose to the Vac motor, then taped the conduit back up with electrical tape to keep clean and minimize the open air and heat that dries those things out.

I have the opposite problem. The black hose that comes out to the conduit was all broke when I bought it and I don't know where to hook it up. Any ideas or pics?

The thick one?
Depending on the year it likely goes to a manifold block at the center rear of the engine bay, right below the cowl weatherstrip.

Actually, the black one is the same size as the white one and goes into a splitter. After the splitter, I just have two broken ends and can't find anything that looks like they would attach to. I am stumped.

Skater,
No hijacking involved. You got pics, put 'em up. It's a guy thing. It helps us identify issues, that while we are not in, or near, our rigs, can more help others with problems. (This should be a sticky for the mods...) We can always read the thread, not have an idea, or a lame one, and not post a reply. Put a pic in there, and the replies start rolling . (Yeah, I know what that is!...) Ya see?

Take care, my friend.

Mine could be that clean, too. The other issue I have to tend with is laziness.

Now, let's see those pics!
