Hey all, just recently bought myself a 1976 F250 LWB in QLD Australia. The tray is full of cancer, and I'm looking to find a replacement one to atleast reduce the amount of rust I've gotta cut out (ideally no rust). I've located one with a little rust in it for about $650 (still gotta get a chance to go measure it up, but pretty sure), but unfortunately I don't have much equipment. I've been working on the thing on the side of the road outside my place. I've got the service manual, have been under it to have a look, and my main issue is getting the old one up and off, and the new one on. Does anyone have ideas for easier ways of getting the tray lifted off without having to persuade a horde of mates to come help heave the bitch off? Thanks, Joe
hi i am going to assume your talking about the bed of the truck as ive never heard of a tray. if you are talking about them bed, you could put the rear axle on blocks and pull both wheels off and take the rear bumper off and then one person could slide it off the back with a little ingenuity
