hi
this may be a dumb question to many of you but ...
on my 85 f150 4x4 the distance from the bottom of the fender...to the top of the tire is
front is apx 4 "
back is apx. 8"
is this right?

that's just the stance of the truck.
it sounds right.
my truck is way higher in the back than the front.
don't have exact measurements for you though, sorry.

Your truck sits like this because of the rear leaf springs. It's made this way to take a heavy load and not bottom out. The bed is light therefore it sits higher in the rear. The weight of the engine brings the front down. Nice truck by the way!

and to you stosh for the grille guard!
the bumper's chrome was shot so i painted them to match with some enamel paint.
got the lights at wally world 25.00!
