I should have my live tuning early enough tomorrow to be able to run the strip and dyno at 100%. I am anxious to see a little less smoke, smoother idle, and more power. I'm ready to see what it can 'really' do!
Is Jody already there? I hope he brought my chip I won in that raffle a while back.
Haven't seen him yet. But, he is supposed to be there tomorrow through Sunday. I'm finally going to get the truck I've been waiting for since I put the injectors in.
Finally got some sleep and by some I mean about 5 hours, but that's good for me. Drinking coffee, eating a pop-tart and fixing to get the day started. Sure sounded like lots if wrenching and fun planned for the day. I really want to help, but I will have a camera in one hand and bad habit in the other (drink, smoke, something). All the kids I've seen appear to be having fun. Got to fix Jason's camper first thing this morning, seems he left part of his waste system on the road where the state is "fixing" the road at the entrance to the campground. As Jason said, "500 miles without an incident and the this on the last tenth of a mile. So if you're heading in with a camper, watch that dip where they are laying new asphalt, it's a beotch.
Now, they are putting two new tires on the truck. What about the other two that are halfway worn out. All I can say is that if they screw up the transfer case, Goodyear is gonna catch HELL!
I have tons of pictures, but I forgot the SD card adapter so I can't get them off the camera on onto the computer. We have not forgotten about you in cyberspace, but I will say it's been a blast so far. Turbos and pedestals are flying around everywhere, two 38R installs were just completed, one on Clay's truck. He just left for a test drive. Van turbos are going on too.
I started off Tues with Clay doing a CCK kit on my truck. The install took a little longer than we expected but the trick is figured out now. Went for a test drive and made about 100 feet and the truck died before I made it out of the campground. It was late and the next morning a bad fuel pump was the culprit. A trip to Napa and $180 later I was back in business.
After the test drive I noticed oil steadily dripping off the back of the engine block. So we ended up taking the turbo off and the pedestal and found the pedestal o-rings were leaking. All cleared up and dry now. Figured it was a good time to do the HPX line too. So I've ended up with a HPX and CCV and new o-rings. It sucks it happened, but on the other hand great it happened here. Clay and Nick have been awesome to me and helpful. I've learned more about my truck in the last two days than I probably ever would have.
Hey Guys, when you post pics at the RRE photobucket site please add some captions.Sure would be nice to know who's who since I don't know many from east of the river. For that matter, I don't know that many west of the river.
Arrived late last night. Mix-up with my cabin so me and the boys stayed with Cory (Ziggy) last night in an unused room in his cabin. Campground m,anagement worked through the issues very responsibly, though, so no hard feelings at all. However, unexpected circumstances require that we leave this afternoon to go back home earlier than planned. I hate it, but cannot help it.
