A Cam Question
I have a 78 half ton with a 460 am im trying to find the perfect cam for it im not building it for the drag strip or anything like that its basically going to be a show truck and redlight racing so i definatly want a more powerful cam but i dont want to over cam my engine and have to reach a high RPM before it starts creating power, my question is...im looking at all the cams available for my engine and im not sure what to choose for Lope Seperation, the valve lift, or duration at 050 in. lift. This is all on SummitRacing.com

You need Cam Quest 6.

Go to the bottom and download your own version on cam selection. You will then input all of your data and you can use it to select a grind that is correct for you.
Understanding cams is a science and may have many variables that can be difficult to understand. I have used mainly Comps Cams. The selection software is accurate, but you may also just call the fellas at Comps Cams to further assist your selection needs.
