Ford is the only one out of the 3 domestic companies to see positive numbers for vehicle sales for the past year, despite everything that is going one. Ford and Toyota are also closing in on ousting GM as the "#1" automaker as well. And Chrysler is still as usuall way in the back of the bus.
Ford Fusion 66.0% increase
Ford Focus 43.6% increase
Ford Escape 94.2% increase
Ford F Series 19% decrease
And this week Ford is releasing the all new Taurus
Ford stock has risen nicely the last few days, but dropped down a little today. I would've thought the stock to really take off after what happened to GM and Chrysler.
I think that's utterly fantastic! The new Taurus is a real head turner in my opinion. Ford will have to justify it's price I'm afraid.

Base model is around $25,000
SHO model fully loaded is around $32,000
Prices seem fair for a mid size sedan, especially for the SHO considering all the new features that it has. Its also competing against cars that range in price from $40,000 to $60,000.

According to the paper th e price spread would be from 25k-37k. They may be wrong. I'd pay 32-35 for a SHO but I'm not sure about 25K for a base model. You can get a decked Fusion for that.
As far as competing against high end cars, I agree. I'm in hopes that Ford has given the same or better high quality solid feel to the Taurus that BMW and Mercedes and Acuras have as this seems to be it's tareget audience.
my dad - a die hard chebby guy is switching to ford because they're not FORCING him to support them by using his tax dollar. if i weren't already a ford fan, I'd'a switched and that's my main argument to my BF when he keeps saying he's going to convert me to chevy. i said i'll respect the classic chevy's like he has *74 nova & 77 vette* but anything that belongs to the new government motors, they can keep because they already got a piece of my money for them, not paying for it twice.....
Ford stock was in the $1 range last December. SHO's are running mid $30K's base, maybe even $37K. That is just too pricey for the same performance of a 2010 Mustang GT
