Before you remove the trip computer, make sure you check the fuse to you in dash cigarette lighter with an ohm meter. Also put at least 1/2 tank of fuel in the X. Turn fog lamps off.
May not fix the problem but it won't cost anything. Worth a try.

ONE FUSE!

One fuse fixed our cigarette lighter, both heated seats, our blinkers, and our trip computer! We have been searching threads for 4-5 hours now and thanks to this thread we fixed it all.

Thanks guys!

My Trip computer and cigg lighter is not working. I checked the fuse and the fuse is good. What am I missing? Do I have to replace the cigg lighter and the trip computer?

Which SPECIFIC fuses did you check for each function? How did you check it?

HOW did you check it? Stare at it? Did you check to see if there was any power in the circuit, both before and after the fuse?

F3 has nothing to do with the overhead console.

yes I did a visual check. What fuse controls the overhead console then?

Fuse 19

Make sure you check the fuse with a test light. It might not be getting power, so a visual is not enough.

Here is the rest of the info you need:

ok. My truck did not come with one. I downloaded one from online. It said it was for 99-08.

I guess it is not the fuse since all the other stuff that showed on the fuse work.

Pretty straight forward, fuse 19 feeds 12v to the RD/YE (red w/yellow tracer) wire to the console module, check for voltage there next.
