asking for advice

Im the new owner of a 2005 F-350 dwr. It has 108000 miles (no warrany). Unaware of the 6.0 issures I pulled a 13000lb. fifth wheel to branson mo. On the way there I noticed it would get hot on the long steep hills. When i got where i was going i checked the coolent level and noticed the puking evidence you all speak of. I have looked all over the web and have learned many things about a diesel.(1st one owned) I cannot decide between the egr cooler and the delete or bypass. Unfortunating i cant afford the head bolts right now and the dealership told me that there was no way to determine if they are bad untill the egr cooler, oil cooler, egr and one of the turbo hoses were replaced. I will be doing this work myself. Im fairly mechanically inclined but will be quite the learning curve. I am asking for any advice you may have in my endeavor to acheive fords greatness.

replace both , EGR cooler and oil cooler. per ford they have to be changed at the same time. and failed EGR cooler in your case is the cause of puking. you dont need headbolts to stop puking. if you going to spend money get EGR delete kit and new oil cooler or rebuild one.
that will take care of the problems.
get cat delete and muffler delete , and you will be good to go...
