I'm not sure about the kits but I was planning on wiring some blue LEDs under the dash/seats to the dimmer switch. But you want to make sure if you're gonna have lights on constant make sure you can't see them while you're driving! I had blue LED on an amp that reflected off the back window and made it real hard to drive at night.
As far as smoke taillights, they would look good provided the widows are tinted as well...
you need to offset the colors. I have a black truck with chrome trim so I got clear taillights.
