Small Mods Made - Phase 1

I started with a pretty impressive list of mods that I wanted to do to my Ex. I decided to start with the small, simple, and cheap. Here is what I have done in the past month since I bought her:

1. Front bumper upgrade. Mine was the original 2001 and it had a couple of dents, the bottom was hit (fog light holders smashed too), and the plastic skirt was grayish. I picked up a 2004 black bumper for $100. It is in much better shape and looks a lot cleaner. It may be a subtle difference, but for $100 well worth it for me.

BEFORE:

AFTER:

2. When I bought the truck, it only had one headrest. I bought this pair (from a Navigator) for $40 on eBay and sold my single for $20. I like these better too since
they are a bit taller than the original Ex headrests.

3. This is a steering wheel off of a 2003 F150. eBay'ed it for $165. I bit expensive, but I wanted a factory look and this was a perfect match.

So to date I have spent the following on the truck:
$8500 purchase
$100 bumper
$165 steering wheel
$20 headrests
$55 OEM 2005 headlights (mod not done yet)
$160 third row seat (mine didn't have one)
==================
$9000 so far - Not bad at all I think.

What's next? Well I picked up 2005 OEM lights and that's next. And then:

1. 2005 Lights
2. Front leveling kit (just to make it look a bit more level)
3. Backup fog lights
And depending on deals that I come across:
- Programmer
- 2008 Mirrors
- New stereo w/backup camera
- 20" Wheels

Good stuff. Do the steering wheel controls on the new wheel work correctly? Or did you sacrifice the radio and a/c controls for just the look??

Those are my original controls. My year did not offer the radio/climate controls - only cruise.

The bumper mod isn't that subtle to me. It made a big difference!

Good job bro!
