I need a lighter

Has anyone had to replace the cigarette lighter in their truck? I can't seem to get mine out. Got to be a secret. Thanks.

There should be a "Sheet Metal Sleeve" that is the nut that holds the unit in place. Disconnect the wire (s) stick your finger (or someone else's) in the front to aid in keeping the unit from turning then unscrew the "Sleeve". Viola

My lighter doesnt work either and i was wonderin the same thing. Let me know what you find out.

Roger is correct. There is a sheet metal sleeve around it on the back side that threads off. Shouldn't be more than finger tight. Unplug the wire, and unscrew it.
