Yeah, it's not as easy to get in and out of the bed without a step bumper but I just climb up on 38's and jump in over the side now.

The pic shown above is when I had the wimpy 285/70's on it.

Sorry to change subject back, but if you want to check the timing chain, turn the crank to TDC, pull the dizzy cap, then see how far you have to move the crank in the opposite direction before the pointer moves. if more than 3*, your on borrowed time.

That's a good piece of advice.

Like I said before as well: if you put a timing light on it and the pointer jumps around a lot, that is a sure sign and a little easier to check IMO.

Well the truck has 99,000 on it now and I tried the timing light idea and the mark moves a little bit but not real bad.

I hate you already and I don't even know you! That is one nice looking rig! How about some pics of the inside? And I'm going to ask the ever dreaded question... how much did you pick it up for???

I paid $2,000 for it. I bought off the original owner who lived in HOA neighborhood and he had too many vehicles and had to sell one of them.

That's a nice looking truck. It kind of reminds me of mine, except yours is a long bed, has an automatic and is 4-wheel drive. Oh yeah, and it's an '86 and mine's an '85.

She looks mighty fine dressed in black... I think I'll paint mine that color once I figure out which body I'm using... I just inherited a compressor and spray rig and I'm itching to try it out!
