You might check out the classifieds, bad thing here is if someone has one, they probably also have the axle, so they are ngoing to want to get rid of it.
Rather common though, cut the U bolts, grab the axle, everything else falls to the ground.
Buy the axle and can not install it because you don't have all the parts to bolt it in.

I figured it might still be avalable, you need it for any straight axle and leaf springs, so even the the 2004 trucks would have it.
Probably have the same plate on the straight axle 50 under the newer 250 as well, I just never looked.
With the way the punkin casting is made and how close to the spring it is, you have to have that plate.

What does it look like? Can you do a U-bolt flip? I don't know if the later model ones run up-side down or not like the 70's pickups do. I converted my '71 to run rear style U-bolts on the front. Pretty easy, and nothing hanging down to snag on stuff and looks much cleaner. I believe there is a pic in my album of what I am referring to.
