Ya there are quite a few in the area. Not really close but when the wind is blowing the right direction it comes in.
It's really dry here right now. Fines for fires ($345.00) and are asking people to stay out of the back country. I'm sure a ban will be coming soon to keep folks out of the bush.

We have been hot and dry other than a couple thunderstorms for probably a month and a half at least. We really need a couple days of steady drizzle to soak things down. The down pours we had with the thunder showers were fairly heavy rain, it just ran off so it wasn't much help.
It's been from the mid to high 80's up to a little over 100 a couple days last week.

Evening all!! fighting with fires up here. one 3 km's from my work, so we're on " get ready to leave" mode. Making a bigger firebreak around the camp tomorrow. Worked all weekend and maybe this one coming. One of my roads is closed to everyone except commercial vehicles. Got some pics taken, but will have to wait to download at home...if i ever get back

Evening Glen. You guys take care up there and stay safe. Fortunatly for us we are no where near the get ready to leave mode.
We may be in for a bit of a break. On Thursday they are calling for a high of 20 and only 17 on Friday.
